OmFi — Privacy Policy

The short version

OmFi collects nothing. No analytics, no account, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Everything the app shows stays on your Mac.

Location permission — required by macOS to reveal Wi-Fi network names when scanning. OmFi never reads, stores or transmits your location; the permission only unlocks SSID visibility.
Keychain — when you ask for a QR code, OmFi reads the current network's password from the macOS keychain (with your explicit authorization) and caches a copy in its own keychain item, on your Mac only, so the QR is instant next time.
Network requests — the only outbound request OmFi makes is to ip.stranix.net (a Stranix service) to display your public IP, ISP and country. The request contains no identifier, no SSID, no personal data — it is equivalent to visiting the page in a browser. Nothing is logged beyond standard, short-lived web-server logs.
